Originally serving as a soft-drink delivery truck, this vehicle was purchased by EMS West for use as a Mass Casualty Response vehicle. It was then sold to Ross/West View EMSA and has become our dedicated Mass Casualty and Fire Rehab response vehicle. One side of the unit hosts equipment for large-scale incident response including tents, triage tarps, incident command tools, extra radios, bulk medical supplies, patient extrication and moving equipment, and much more. The opposing side of the vehicle contains equipment for rehab operations, which are meant to support personnel on long term incidents, such as house fires or complicated rescues. These compartments hold equipment such as air-conditioners and heaters for inflatable tents, large stocks of bottled water, and extra oxygen cylinders. The unit also has the capability to monitor 5 different radio channels across multiple counties, and act as a mobile repeater unit to extend the range of handheld portable radios if needed.
